How to convert an old bath tub into a shower?

I just moved into a house for college this upcoming semester and all it has in it are bath tubs without showers. The previous tenant before me used one of those rubber/plastic shower heads that just slips over the faucet. Are there any alternatives other than that? How to convert an old bath tub into a shower?
Yes, however they will modify the move-in configuration which can, in turn, affect your length of residency.:)How to convert an old bath tub into a shower?
Yes,

But,

You need a friend that is either experienced, or just flat mechanically capable in the plumbing area to change the tub spout out for a spout that has a tap for a handheld shower system.

The change out will cost from30-75 bucks depending on the quality of shower system you want.

Delta, Olsen, and Waterpick are the tops.

Again, find or make a friend real quick that can do it for you.

After all, it's not your plumbing you are wanting to change up.

If something goes wrong because of lack of ability, you, or your parents might have to pay the finishing bill from the college.
The only other solution I know involves extensive modifaction of the system. You would need a new faucet and have to run the pipe up to the shower head.
We installed a claw foot antique tub. You can order shower fixtures that are brass that connect to tubs. Then you can purchase 2 shower curtains that curl around it. Check with your local home improvement store like Lowes. They have books to order them from.
