Does anyone know anything about resurfacing a countertop, bathroom vanity & bath tub?

The vanity %26amp; counter in our bathroom is so ugly. We can't replace it yet so I want to fix it. Our tub is needing some help too. I'm going to get the spray and do it myself. Does anyone have any tricks, advice, tools or specific product I could try? If you've done this before, please tell me how it went! I don't want the bathroom to look worse than it does now! Thanks in advance!!!Does anyone know anything about resurfacing a countertop, bathroom vanity %26amp; bath tub?
There's a franchise called Miracle Method (www.miraclemethod.com) that claims to be able to paint existing counterops and tile surfaces with new color. We had them give an estimate for redoing the 70s-yellow counters in our kitchen and we're going to get it done in the next few months.Does anyone know anything about resurfacing a countertop, bathroom vanity %26amp; bath tub?
I suggest that you not spray it. The paint will cause it to get dirty and black so quick. You will see it scratching off within a few months, and it will look yellow and dirty against the white of the prior finish. I suggest that you buy some self sticking floor tiles to put on your countertop. They will look ok and will be better than trying to paint anything. Lowes and Walmart are usually the cheapest on home improvement. Good Luck
if it is white plastic I know it can be done but is expensive. I had a hole repaired in the bath and they re-coated it afterwards, it is like new. I know enamel sinks and baths can be re-enamelled too - but no doubt that is pricey!
simple DO NOT SPRAY YOUR TUB OR SINK OR LIKE it will ruin your tub and sink you may think that you cant afford it but it will cost more to re finish your bath tub and sink and will just ruin it if you do it yourself so stick with what you got save up and find a good quality but cheap bathroom set that is what i am having to do.
AnswersGuy is absolutely right. You'll hate yourself for trying to paint the tub yourself. The epoxy paint doesn't last well and doesn't clean well.

If you want to do it right, pay someone to come out and reglaze your tub or else get a tub liner for $80 and cover over the existing tub.

As for your vanity and counter, you don't say what they're made of, but as long as the sink isn't part of the counter, you can prime it with a shellac primer called ';Gripper'; or ';Bullseye';. Then paint it with an oil-based exterior paint (aka ';alkyd';). Give it 2 coats of Helmsman Spar Urethane. Let it cure 3 full days before putting ANYTHING on it...and never use a cleaner on it again or it will discolor.

The other option, and it's probably cheaper long-run, is to buy a new countertop at Home Depot or Lowes. They're already made and aren't that expensive. No fuss or muss, and the only thing you'll need to do is disconnect the plumbing for an hour (and it's very easy), cut the caulk and remove the old one, then install the new one, caulk it and reattach the plumbing. You can do it under $60.

We've redone too many bathrooms that people did badly and it's sad because they spent twice as much as they should have. If you can't do the whole thing at once, try doing the sink first. Then when you get a little more money, tackle the tub. I'd hate to see you do something that you'll be unhappy with in a month or three.
ceramic tiles for your countertops, and vanity, suggest get rid of the bath tub, and install a shower,
