vs. a whirlpool tub. Which is better? What brand?We are considering purchasing an air bath tub?

You need to be thinking of what you want the tub for. If it just enjoying a tub bath and bubbles then go with the Bubble Tub. but think about one with a warm air blower otherwise the water cools pretty quick.
If a whirlpool then consider one with an in-line water heater, it maintains the temp. With the bubble tub look for one you can have the blower placed away from the tub.
Check out Kohler Bubble tubs, M.T.I. whirlpools ( valve can be factory installed and fills with no spout.) Lasco for a good mid-range price whirlpool. There are many others.
