Set the tun into the space where it's going to rest and mark it. I make sure the floor is well braced and in good condition. Then I remove the tub and put in three to four bags of level set (40 lbs. ea.) and then reset the tub into this. With a level. From side to side it should be level. This should be verified at both ends. From end to end it should pitch slightly toward the drain.

After experiencing a bad fall in the shower, i would not think of having a tub or shower without at least one grab bar. This costs a lot less than my week in the hospital.
