These paints contain chemicals that are toxic and give off fumes and should be used with extreme caution. Safe once they have completely dried. Face mask and protective clothing are essential to prevent you from being affected.

Look through the whole of that second link for an idea of what is involved, it may put you off doing the job.Can an enamled ceramic bath tub be painted?
Yes there is a special paint, or, enamel for coloring tile concrete and ceramic. Usually this is used to make concrete look like tile to save money, or many other uses.. But if the tub's color is already blue it may not be possible. If it is just enamel the old enamel may need to be sanded off in order to put new enamel. Ask a remodeling professional what ways are possible to change the look of your tub.
Not with ordinary paint!

It wouldn't be worth it anyway, you're better off buying a new one.

The paint we used to touch up small damages, was cellulose based I think(!?).Hey. it was 23 years ago.

The paint was highly flammable and had to be kept in a metal cabinet, also the fumes were very irritable. It would cause breathing and bowel problems even in small amounts.I doubt very much whether you could actually buy the paint without being in the building trade etc.
I assume that the paint job on the tub is on the outside, not the inside of the bathtub!! You can re-paint the outside any color you like, but the inside of the tub should never have paint applied.
There are specialist companies who can re-enamel baths but not sure if it's a job that they can be hand painted with stuff bought from the likes of B%26amp;Q.
yes kelli, just google or yahoo BATH PAINT and a load of enamel bath paint will come up in all colours you requre , white being the obvious one

good luck
