The handles to turn to water on and off in my bath tub are corroded on. Is there a way to remove them?

Is there a chemical or some other way for me to remove them? The handles to turn to water on and off in my bath tub are corroded on. Is there a way to remove them?
wd40 is supposed to work on rust like that.

there are different devices called WHEEL PULLERS,

have you been able to remove the screws that hold the handles on?

if so inquire at your local plumbing store about which wheel puller you might be able to use to grip and pull those handles off

the usually have three spaced hooked (i'll call them fingers) and some kind of screw or device at the top. you hook the fingers around the back of the handle, put the screw OR device in the hole where the screw came out of and then tighten it so the the finger pull the handle towards you. mechanics use such devices to pull steering wheels off and other things that won't come off easily.

you might consider trying to heat the handles so that the metal expands and then may come off.

that's the best i could think of at the moment.

you might also try tapping then with a hammer to try to loosen them. a lot of time that corrosion is from soap.

i didn't see any other answers and so i thought i'd just throw this stuff out there.

good luck to ya.
