Our cat peed down the drain of our bath tub. How do I get rid of the smell?

I've cleaned it with bleach, but I can't get at the drainpipe, and I think that's where the smell is coming from. Our cat peed down the drain of our bath tub. How do I get rid of the smell?
Try some Drain-O.Our cat peed down the drain of our bath tub. How do I get rid of the smell?
My cat used to do this all the time - I used bleach, too, and the smell will dissapate and go away in time, but not immediately. Try to be thankful that your wonderful pet is trying to be considerate and not pee in the house:)
I'm not even going to ask....! Go to Petsmart and ask for pet odor removal products. They work on carpets and upholstery and will probably take care of your problem.
stop sniffing the drain ... no charge
First, push your cat down the drain and rub his nose it in. Bad kitty!

Next, you need to get yourself to a pet supply store and buy an organic, enzyme-based odor remover (just ask the person behind the counter). Use the same one that you would use on your carpet. Put in about a half cup down the drain, and let it be for awhile (give it an hour).

Still smelly? Try Draino. The pee might be sticking to stuff partially clogging the inside of your pipes.
Try making a paste with bleach and flour. (Or use Comet) Smear it down the inside of the drain, and let some fall down the drain in clumps. Let it sit overnight, and the next morning rinse, or scrub with a bottle-brush.
dont use draino, because it will not helpyouin yor case, but it will absoultly make your entire house smell like rotten eggs. Try something hat is labeled to help you in your particular case.
Put purefume down the drain
Use some disinfectant and run some hot water down there.

Personally, the cat is pretty smart to do that. I know mine isn't!
in the past i had this problem. white vinegar took the smell out of the bathtub drain for me.
drain-o max.
use some baking soda and vinegar.
pour in 1/4 cup baking soda. then add 1/4 cup white vinegar. then after the bubbles subside ad 1/2 cup of water .

this also works on destroying the mildew that is hiding down deep in your drain pipes.
