you need to unscrew the handles





underneath this you should see a brass stem that the handle screws into


there will probably be an open ring around this that needs to be unscrewed


then the brass stem will need to be unscrewed


behind the stem there may be a seat that may be bad, it should take an allen wrench or square drive to unscrew





take the stem and or seat to your local home improvement store or plumbing wholesaler to buy a complete new stem or rebuild kit

I agree with nana. Turn off the water (at the pipe), unscrew the knobs, replace the washers, put the knobs back on. Turn the water back on.
Firstly you are working on a bath, you must first locate the TCW supply:- Cold water storage tank, turn off the water supply two of them, one to the cold tap supply and one to the hot water storage tank, if you know what two gatevalves look like turn them downwards (clockwise) these are located at the bottom of the tank size 22mm or 3/4'; You want to buy 2 -22mm RUBBER TAP WASHERS and replace.SWITCH OFF IMMERSION HEATER FIRST!
Depends what kind of taps you have in your tub. If its a single type with only one knob then it will require a new cartridge. If you have two taps then you will need to replace the washers and seat or perhaps the tap cartridge which is the recommended way. Take the old cartridge to the hardware store and they will be able to provide a replacement. Its quite inexpensive and should be less than ten dollars to to the whole job. You may want to feel the leaking water to see if its hot or cold this will tell you which tap or if its Luke warm you may need both. Hope this helps a bit.
Have the washers replaced. Easy and cheap. You will sleep better.
