I have REALLY hot water in the bath tub, but not HOT water coming through my showers. Why?

We just purchased a home that's only 2 years old. For 1 year, the house was empty. We have a large soaking tub and separate shower are side by side. I get extremely hot water in the soaking tub, but lukewarm (sometimes cool) water in the shower. Why is that? Also, the other shower in my home does not get hot either. How can I get hot water for one and not the other? They are right next to each other.I have REALLY hot water in the bath tub, but not HOT water coming through my showers. Why?
The shower has an anti-scalding valve. These can be adjusted, but you usually have to take the faceplate off to access. If you have any manuals on it, that might help. You can look for the same valve at the hardware store and read their paperwork on how to adjust the valve. You can look it up on the internet at the companies website and print out instructions, or you can call a plumber.I have REALLY hot water in the bath tub, but not HOT water coming through my showers. It's actually a pretty commom problem. Since the bath is still getting hot water, you probably just need to change out the cartridge. You can usually order one through the shower faucet manufacturer. If it's a Moen fixture, call 1-800-Buy-Moen and they should be able to send you the replacement parts. If you do not feel like doing it yourself. Call the plumber who did your home. They'll have access to the parts and can usually install it in an hour or less - usually less.
This is most likely your problem since most shower faucets are anti-scald. I'm guessing that your shower faucets are both single handle-if so here is what you have to do-First you have to take the handle off you remove the little plastic center piece. There will be a small screw there remove the screw then pull the handle off. You should be looking at two white pieces of plastic this is where you adjust the temperature of the water. This will be a test and trial.

Hope this helps you.
