Is there anything that will remove JB WELD off of an old cast iron bath tub?

I am restoring my house and my ';Husband'; had covered the overflow with JB Weld. We are wondering if we can remove it so we can restore the bathtub. Any information greatly appreciated. Is there anything that will remove JB WELD off of an old cast iron bath tub?

Some JB weld will resist temperatures up to 500 deg. F. so if you have a heat gun or propane torch (do this outside the house) you can heat the area around the putty up slowly, but be careful that you do not concentrate your heat too long in one spot so you do not crack the porcelain, or heat the tub up too fast or uneven as you can crack the cast iron. The heat will soften the JB weld and you should be able to scrape it off. If it does chip you were going to restore it anyway, but if you take care and don't set the putty on fire you should be OK. Good luck!
Drill a bunch of small holes around the edge and knock it out.
Chip or sand it off.
