Stuck bath tub valve. Can open to get to valve seat.?

I am trying to replace the valve seat in my bathtub/shower. Do to this I have to remove the valve stem and flange. Problem is that flange is stuck and will not budge.

Tried with the socket set, heat, chisel and hammer, applying 409.

Any other suggestions so I do not have to open up the wall.Stuck bath tub valve. Can open to get to valve seat.?
some things not right.the things you did should have worked.are you turning it counter clock wise,Stuck bath tub valve. Can open to get to valve seat.?
not exactly sure what part you're talking about but only open the wall as a last resort. If it's a nut or bolt thats stuck, try a pipe wrench (monkey wrench). also you probably want to shut off the water going to that bathroom, if you can't find a cut off valve you need to turn it off at the street (Home Depot sells a tool for about $10). Lastly if you do have to go into the wall a lot of times you can go into the next room behind the faucet side of your tub and go in thhrough sheetrock, when your done just screw in a piece of wood over the hole instead of fixing sheetrock for future service work. Hope that helps
